I rather saw it coming when Steph left the store, but it looks like the manager directly over me is being moved as well and replaced. I'm not too terribly torn up about it, not to seem like an ass or anything, but I had sort of prepared myself for it already, and it isn't like I'll never see him again. Robbie has his number and will probably be wanting to hang out with him more often now.

In the meantime we don't know when his last day will be or when we will meet the new chick that is coming. I'm excited and apprehensive, and at the same time, glad to say that I officially don't owe anyone at that store a thing. Robbie was able to say that when Steph left, but I was unable to say it until Steven announced his transfer. I'm grateful that he helped me get this job, but I'm slightly relieved that he's leaving before I do, I would hate to leave and make him regret ever hiring me.

So, Easter. Up here in the middle of nowhere its like a second Christmas. No joke. Steven was telling me last night that Easter is the second largest profitable holiday after Christmas, even before all of the Thanksgiving hullabaloo. It never seemed to be this was in C-Bus, sure we had Easter parties and baskets, then you go to the bonfire and roast peeps...but that was it, people up here have parties that make me slightly dizzy and anxious. Like, bake a giant Easter cake, buy toys and presents and clothes for the kids... I know its a big holiday otherwise, but this is almost surreal.

And it happened today. That's right, after Robbie begged me to withhold my comments about his father from him he's already getting irked by him. Not even a full week has gone by since they got home and today Robbie came into the room, laid down and said his dad was annoying him and he wanted to wait until he left before he came out of the room again.

I withheld my comments. Not going to say a damn thing about it to him. Newp. I'mma be a good bunny.

Also, the schedule for this week at work. Omg. I have tonight off, then on three, off one, and on two. I thought I was hired in part-time? The money is always welcomed, and with Robbie's parents home I do rather look forward to being out of the house. So the change is welcomed. I was given full time hours last week and will be getting them again this week, and I had almost forgot that one of the girls is going on maternity leave soon, so I'm sure there will be more weeks like these to be had.

On the plant side of things I mixed up a bottle of this soap/water/baking soda spray so I could take the plants outside for some sun later without having to worry about the bugs getting to them. I know the lilac will need some sun, its a nice hearty plant and doesn't need a lot of it, but I don't want to take it outside just to have the bugs attack it. I think I may set it outside and let it spend the day there today.

I'm not a religious person by any means. I've had the conversation with a couple of my friends several times: my bible sits on the shelf between the qur'an and a copy of the satanic bible and a thick dictionary of classical mythology.

Still, after looking through more myths and stories and all the different takes on vampires I'm thinking that mine are too strong. I took nearly all of the religion out of it with the exception of Bastian's weapons.

The gun: Bastian had an array of different guns in his storage, but he mentions several times about a derringer that he keeps on him. The gun is passed from character to character throughout the stories and is the only weapon in the arsenal that is actually baptized (done after his parents passed, the gun was carried by his own father during the war, yay sentiments), the ammo of course is always baptized no matter what the weapon.

I kept stakes, they're just too classical to slash from the stories! In trying to pull a little religion back into the books (in the name of being classical) I did some research of my own.

Bram Stoker's stakes were white oak, but my stakes are going to be what the cross was made out of, and there is where my research started.

Most people have heard they myth of the dogwood tree, the trouble is that the dogwood has NEVER been native to the Mediterranean, so going on that we have a considerably limited selection. Olive trees are out of the question for religious reasons, in biblical times a lot of people followed the greek/roman paganism and olive trees were pretty sacred.

After digging deeper I found the added bit that there are nails from several victims that have pine on them.

Its called a Stone Pine, it's what I'm using, and its the best bet for the actual tree used.

Suck it cheesy dogwood myth, this tree would kick your ass any day.

I seem to be having a lot of dreams about trees lately.

Last night, or yesterday (I was feeling depressed and ended up sleeping about 18 hours), I dreamt that I was in a house that was very cluttered. It was a school of sorts? Or a camp or something. There were a bunch of other girls with me.

I was collecting things, pairs of things, I vividly remember trying to collect the pair to my gray knee-highs, which I coincidentally had fallen asleep in. I found it and I was telling one of the girls, "I'm sorry I really need to go."

I take my suitcase full of my pairs of things (socks, jeans, mostly different items of clothing) and I go into the woods and I walk until I find a tree that has stairs going from the base to the top in a spiral all around the trunk. I go up the stairs and at the top there is a room/house where I am going to live.

Still no Morpheus, but I don't think he is coming back. It was interesting while it lasted.

Dear Universe,

What is the third law? These things have a habit of occurring thrice, correct?

1. Murphy's Law: Whatever can go wrong, WILL go wrong. (I get the short end of the stick, my mother's side of the family happen to have the misfortune of having this as a last name...).

2. The day you look like a scrub is the day you see everyone you know. (I've learned my lesson too many times to not keep a pair of flats in case I break another pair of heels running).

3. ... (profit?)

Updated my twitter a little. De'Angelo was making fun of it earlier saying it was the old version, to which I replied, "nah brah, it's generic."

I painted a glorious tree on the window of the hospickle Tim Hortons and all of its woody-barky-glory. I attribute my technique to hours of watching various artist's live streams for tips, and am quite shocked that I actually DID learn something.

Of course painting on windows made me want to break out some of my blank canvases. I have a half-finished painting that I rescued from the trash at the cultural art center that I wanted to finish. The original artist already did the brunt of the work by blocking out the building and the flowers, I don't understand why they would throw out such a gem.

We think Robbie broke his wrist. Roughing with the guys at a softball game. One of the girls asked if he needed an ice pack, of course when I asked him I worded it differently ("Would you like an ice pack or should I get you something to bite while I set the bone back in place?"). Two cold packs, some coban, and an ace wrap later he says he'll wait a week and if it hasn't gotten better he'll go get x-rays. Of course trust him to continue playing after the injury.

I'm actually having more fun writing the dialogue for the last chapter of Artemis, it's taking me much longer than it rightly should, but when it's finished I hope it will be as impacting as I want it to. All the sexual frustration is hilarious.

Robbie is off at his first day of work, so I am here bored and JB isn't picking up her phone. Chances are she's not getting service because tmoble just sucks that hardcore.

I have a long night ahead of me, I had hoped to not have to tackle it quite so early, but it would appear I have no choice.

My plants seem to be doing better, I think I just need to get them out of the cats' reach, and I can't really do that until I fix a few things around the house.

Supposing my direct deposit paper work went through at work, I should be reciving the money in my account at midnight tonight, that will pay for my rent next month.

Off to clean I suppose.

So I re-potted my plants, my spider plant was completely pot-bound, I had never seen such thick roots in such a tiny pot. Now it can grow a little nicer. I gave my mom a few of the succulents I had, she seemed to like them.

I called JB and hopefully I will get a pretty peace-lily next time she checks her plants. Also apparently we may be going to pick the cherries in Brett's backyard next weekend or the weekend after.

I love this cherry dr.pepper, so yummy and its red from the cherry. I love drinks that get their colors changed from cherry flavoring. My favorite coffee is the same way, its pink!

We're doing laundry tonight! with my mother's washer/dryer, so we'll be stuck in the house until its done. Its no problem really, they have more food than we do and its closer to their connection (which we use over here, it gets kinda weak).

I rickrolled my mother. It was luls.

I said before I would be happy all day from the fanart, I lied, its more like a week...
