I love the chemistry between these two.
[Kamen] "We had four years worth of adventures in Q'ael Dan'il. I learned those passages inside and out. I don't think she ever got over her fear of the dark."
[Nancy peaks up over her book]
[Kamen] "That was my fault though. Also her fear of small places, that was my fault too. I got angry with her when we were kids and I locked her in the closet and told her I wouldn't let her out until she promised to marry me. God, she was right, I was a bully to her in those days."
[Nancy] "Did she promise?"
[Kamen] "No. I didn't have the heart to keep her in there either. I ended up locking both of us in there on accident because I didn't want to let her out, but I didn't want her to be alone. She held onto me for three hours straight until Lilly found us and asked if we were playing sardines." [Nancy nods slowly and tries to go back to her book] "At first I thought she had a crazy apatite, then, once I was off the rermanim, I figured out that I was just as bad as she was. We'd stay up late talking and then run down to the kitchens and ransack them."
[don't really think Nancy is really reading at this point]
[Kamen] "The summer in the Haven was the best I could have hoped for, we wanted to live there forever. It was ours. I told her I wanted to get her a house, I wanted to get her a place that wouldn't be as cold as that cave and we could still call it our own. She just wanted the estate I had given up, she loved it here when we were kids, but at the time I couldn't get it back." [Kamen turns his head to look back at Nancy] "I got us a house, do you love me yet?"
[Nancy drops the book on her face] "I lied to you."
[Kamen] "When?"
[Nancy] "Every day since you appeared on my doorstep. You're not an asshole."
[Kamen] "Now you're lying."
